FLUORIDE (E.G. SODIUM CHLORIDE)

Anti-cavity Active Ingredient

Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by slowing the breakdown of enamel. This increases the resistance to future acid challenges. WHO, FDI, IADR and CSA have recently reaffirmed the efficacy and safety of fluoride.

ZINC (LACTATE, CITRATE)

Anti-Tartar build-up + Anti Bacteria active ingredient

Eliminates sources of bad breath that cause bad breath, protects against plaque, prevents tartar build-up and cares for gums.

GLYCERIN

Humectant

Provides a pleasant brushing experience through keeping the toothpaste’s level of viscosity in balance. It holds ingredients together and helps prevent the product from drying out.

HYDRATED SILICA

Cleaning

Whiter teeth through cleaning, polishing and gently removing surface stains, while protecting the enamel. Silica removes surface stains when combined with mechanical action from toothbrush.

CHALK (CALCIUM CARBONATE)

Cleaning

SODIUM HEXAMETA-PHOSPHATE

Anti-Tartar & Stain Prevention

Helps prevents tartar build-up. Removes and helps prevents surface stains.

PROPYLENE GLYCOL

Humectant

Provides a pleasant brushing experience through keeping the toothpaste’s level of viscosity in balance. It holds ingredients together and helps prevent the product from drying out.

PEG (PEG-6 / PEG-20M / PEG-23M)

Humectant

PEG is an ingredient that helps hold components of the toothpaste together. It has high solubility in water and helps with foaming action for a more pleasant brushing experience. PEG-6 (polyethylene glycol 6) is not to be confused with ordinary Polyethylene, both are different chemical compounds.

WATER

Solvent, carrier ingredient

Hydrates and dissolves many ingredients.

TRISODIUM PHOSPHATE

pH Buffer

Maintains pH of the product for efficacy and integrity.

SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE

Foaming Agent

Foaming and cleaning agent that helps to dislodge food particles, bacteria and plaque and helps pull stains away from teeth.

Even though there are debates about SLS, the way how it is being used in toothpaste is non-problematic. In fact, SLS has been tested in multiple clinical studies with no indication that it is a contact allergen. The safety of SLS has not been questioned by the European Commission, nor its expert advisory committee (SCCS), nor by any of the member states.

SODIUM CITRATE

pH Buffer

Maintains pH for product effectiveness.

TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77981)

Makes toothpaste white

It is an ingredient frequently used in cosmetic products as a colorant. Creates the white look of a toothpaste. Even though there are debates about Titanium Dioxide, the way how it is being used in toothpaste is non-problematic. It is safe to use as per EU-Cosmetics Regulation.

COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE

Foaming agent

Foaming and cleaning agent that helps to dislodge food particles, bacteria and plaque and helps pull stains away from teeth.
